Repurposing the hanging cabinet that I don't like by converting it into a speaker cabinet. Cut the plexiglas for the opening and will mount the speakers in it. The doors will close, so it should look good. Happy to give this thing a new life.

Added two smaller speakers to the side - now it sounds better (the big speaker was pointed down, so it was muffled). Little bit of trauma with the plexiglas falling apart, but managed to recover. Next step is to install the drawer switch and wire up the power cord.

Gave up on color again. Stripped all of it off and went back to all white. Like it so much better. Also like having the documents revealed in the drawer. Waiting for switch so I can to add the audio interactivity to the drawer. Need to mangle Dvořák's "From the New World" a little more to to match my memory of the event of the kids playing the symphony for me.
